Museum & Editorial Service was born in 1995 from a project/idea of a group of museum curators and directors, who wished to make available a number of private collections, leasing them out to civic museums, in order to promote and offer a high-quality educational and scientific service.
In 2013 a company was finally created, following the necessity to complete and make transportable the first ten national travelling exhibitions. The priority of the exhibitions is the quality of the exhibits, which are mainly faithful life-size replicas of extinct and non-extinct animals. These replicas have been modified, improved and even remade over the years, thanks to the collaboration with some of the world’s best companies engaged in sculpting and modelling extinct animals and their anatomical parts. Prior to construction, every item has at all times undergone a study and planning phase, with the involvement of the top leading experts in palaeontology, zoology and other museology.
After a long and windy path lasted 20 years, Museum & Editorial Service today has in excess of 150 suggestive, faithful, interactive life-size replicas, as well as many fossils. This website gives you the opportunity to view each specimen and appreciate its quality.
Every exhibition and each replica are provided with multilingual captions. All collections can be subdivided into modules and, on the basis of space availability and amount of indoor space, allow clients to choose and select the items more suitable to each venue. Furthermore, a great number of our models allow a high level of interaction, from a visual and tactile standpoint.
